Aftercare Instructions
Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 3 days and no longer than 7 days. Most people are healed by day 5 so we strongly recommend leaving it on until then.
Your bandage will fill up with fluid, this is normal.
Do not re-bandage
THINGS TO AVOID:
Do not touch your tattoo with unwashed hands.
Do not scratch, pick, peel, slap, rub, or irritate your tattoo.
Clean water while washing is good for a healing tattoo. Lake, river, ocean, chemical treated, or shared water are not good for a healing tattoo.
Do not expose your tattoo to the sun for at least a week. After it is healed, you may use sunscreen on your tattoo.
IF YOUR BANDAGE HAS COME OFF OR BEEN REMOVED IN UNDER 5 DAYS:
ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your tattoo!
Always wash your tattoo in hot water. Bath or showers are both acceptable, although a bath may be more effective. Allow your tattoo to soak in the hot water for ten to fifteen minuets, (this naturally opens the pores for a non-abrasive and thorough cleaning) before washing with an anti-bacterial liquid soap. Be gentle and do not use a washcloth or anything that will exfoliate your tattoo. Only use your clean hands.
Gently pat your tattoo dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do not rub, or use a fabric with a rough surface.
Moisturize as needed with any fragrance free moisturizer. Always use clean hands when you moisturize.
DO NOT use Vaseline, Neosporin, or any medicated or scented ointment.
Peeling of the top layer of skin is normal. Do not pick at the skin or scratch it. Moisturizing and washing will both help to relieve itching.
